Sophia Maddox || 17 || Junior || Prestonian Society Member || FC: Leighton Meester

With stunning good looks, it’s not hard to see why Sophia is one of the most sought after Junior girls at Preston. The daughter of a fashion designer, she grew up on the Upper East Side in New York City and is the best dressed of all the girls at Preston. An overachiever, she works hard to prove that she’s not just a pretty face.
While most guys at Preston would kill for a chance with her, she’s never been that into any of them, with the exception being Matty Bothman. From the moment she and her best friend, Kate, laid eyes on him in Freshman year, she was a goner. However, Kate was the girl that ultimately caught his eye, and although Kate and Matty broke up, he’s off-limits to her now. Just because Matty’s technically off-limits, though, doesn’t mean she doesn’t flirt shamelessly with him, as well as every other cute boy on campus. Don’t expect to get too far with her, however, if she doesn’t see you as being worthy. She’s extremely choosy with who she actually dates, seeing herself as being out of most of the boys at Preston’s league.
She and Kate are the perfect example of ‘frenemies’. While they’re best friends, they constantly bicker, both wanting to one-up each other. While Kate usually comes out on top, Sophia was pleased when she finally won the Prestonian, evening the playing field between her and Kate a little. Although they’re competitive and bitchy, at the end of the day they do love each other, and can usually make up from a fight rather easily. To her classmates, Sophia is neutral, if not a little snobby. She doesn’t hate or love the majority of her classmates, preferring just to socialize and let the chips fall where they may. If you’re not on the wealthy side, however, you can expect her to be stuck-up as she believes that only the wealthy belong at Preston.

Lucy Graham || 16 || Sophomore || FC: Emma Stone

In Kindergarten, Lucy’s parents were told that she showed amazing potential, but had a bit of a temper. In grade school, they were told that she was one of the brightest in her class, and that she needed to work on holding her tongue. In middle school, the administration didn’t bother sugar coating Lucy’s anger, promptly kicking her out. While she’s always had one of the smartest minds, her temper and sharp tongue continually get in her way. Always at the top of her class, Lucy’s grades were able to secure her a spot at Preston, as well as a half-ride scholarship.
Getting into Preston turned out to be the best thing that could have ever happened to Lucy. She was able to fully tap into her academic potential, and she began funneling all of her anger into a sport: field hockey. Within a week of arriving at Preston, the field hockey coach approached her because of her legendary temper, suggesting that she learn to channel it into a sport, and only weeks later, Lucy had become one of Preston’s top players. With a new outlet for her tension, Lucy was able to loosen up, even make a few friends. Her humor is very mean, but she delivers her barbs with a smile, and people don’t usually realize that she’s insulted them, until after their conversations.
Growing up in a big city like Chicago, Lucy learned to be independent and self-sufficient at an early age. Her temper prevented boys from ever showing much interest in her growing up, but she’s finding that as she mellows out, more and more boys are expressing interest in her. She occasionally smokes, mostly to alleviate her stress levels, and it was through her usage of weed that she met Maggie Garfield. Maggie enjoys Lucy’s temper, and Lucy enjoys Maggie’s ‘screw it’ attitude. Over the course of the past year, Lucy’s also began to develop a slight crush on her dealer, Max Levy.

Margaret ‘Maggie’ Garfield || 15 || Freshman || FC: Willa Holland

As the daughter of Headmaster Garfield, Maggie is given specialty treatment. Her C average and aversion to actually showing up to class would’ve gotten any normal student kicked out within a week, but thanks to her father’s role, she’s virtually untouchable. She milks her father’s status, doing everything she can to push her boundaries whether it’s smoking weed in the middle of the quad, or walking around the dorms with an open bottle of Jack.
Maggie’s the type of girl you love to party with on the weekends, but would never dream of introducing to your parents. She’s always at the top of people’s invite lists, and is the first one on the scene if there’s a kick-back. She’s not the monogamous type, although she’s had her eye on a certain junior boy ever since arriving at Preston. However, the boy, Scotty Goldner, is taken and happily so. Maggie can’t stand his girlfriend, Molly. She thinks Molly’s a prissy overachiever, and the two butt heads, even if Maggie’s friends with Max, her dealer and Molly’s older brother.
Popular amongst many of Preston’s upperclassmen boys, Maggie can be a little on the loose side. She’s always happy to hook up at a party, and because of that, she’s developed a bit of a reputation although most girls are too scared of her to ever confront her about it. She mainly hangs around Max, Tyler, and Scotty because the four of them love getting high together. Most of the girls at Preston despise Maggie. She’s bitchy when unprovoked, and will not hesitate to point out a flaw. She loves being the center of attention at parties, and if she feels that her spotlight is being stolen, she will do whatever it takes to humiliate her competition.

Danielle Reynolds || 18 || Senior || FC: Phoebe Tonkin

If people were to survey Preston’s student body asking if they would rather be locked in a room with Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or Danielle, nine times out of ten they would choose Leatherface. The daughter of two politicians, Danielle is a seemingly perfect daughter. With amazing grades, stunning good looks, and poise, she’s every parents’ dream. However, underneath her dazzling smile is a ruthlessness that intimidates even the bravest of Preston’s students. Danielle has yet to win the Prestonian, even with her tireless dedicated to academics. She is the valedictorian for the Senior class, and will be attending Yale next fall.
She’s incredibly ambitious and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Very few are on her good side, but those who are, she treats with respect. While the majority of her classmates are frightened, some boys can’t help but be entranced by her dominant personality and beautiful features.
Danielle was never impressed by any of the boys she encountered at Preston, until Peter Hayes arrived. Her attraction to him was instantaneous and she found herself drawn to his modest personality. Upon finding out he was a scholarship kid, she briefly broke up with him, but eventually he wore her down, and the two have been happily dating ever since her junior year. He brings out the best in her, and she actually resembles a human being when they’re together, which is something many of their classmates appreciate.

Rachel Erickson || 16 || Sophomore || FC: Naya Rivera  Vanessa Hudgens

Rachel is the personification of confidence. Assertive and sassy, she is the girl you see strutting across Preston’s quad, of course, with a group of men following in her wake. Always the first to enter into an argument, to say that she enjoys confrontation would be an understatement: she thrives on it.
She’s abrasive and will often rub people the wrong way, but her classmates can’t help but admire her amazing confidence. She’s a girl that knows exactly who she is, and isn’t willing to compromise for anyone - hers is a ‘take it or leave it’ attitude that many find strangely compelling.
The daughter of two Spanish soap opera stars, she has a flair for the dramatic. Rachel isn’t big into athletics and academics like her other cookie-cutter classmates, she’s into parties and having fun. While her grades aren’t as good as some of her other classmates’ she still manages to maintain an above-average GPA, but her sassy attitude and sarcastic wit make it so that most of her teachers barely tolerate her.
